ATA Arms SP Sporter is a competition-oriented over-and-under shotgun in 12/76, fitted with 71 cm barrels, a steel receiver with black-chrome finish and an adjustable Grade 2 Turkish walnut stock. This configuration combines a 10 mm ventilated rib, a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors and five interchangeable chokes for different clay-target disciplines and distances.
SP Sporter is a sporting over-and-under with a steel receiver, black-chrome finish and a stated weight of 3.5 kg. Its mass distribution supports a smooth, stable swing when tracking clay targets, while the 71 cm barrels keep the shotgun manoeuvrable and well balanced. It uses a break-action layout with two vertically arranged barrels and a capacity of two cartridges.
The 28-inch barrels are paired with a 116 cm overall length and a wide 10 mm ventilated sighting rib.
The stock and forend are made from oil-finished Grade 2 Turkish walnut with competition-oriented ergonomics.
The single trigger works with a barrel selector, automatic ejectors and a manual safety.
- The 10 mm ventilated rib provides a broad and clearly visible sighting plane.
- The fibre-optic front sight assists rapid visual alignment with moving targets in changing light.
- The adjustable stock supports more accurate fitting to the shooter’s stance and gun mount.
- Grade 2 Turkish walnut with an oil finish retains the wood’s natural grain and appearance.
- The steel receiver and 3.5 kg weight provide calm, stable momentum through the swing.
- According to the supplied configuration data, the barrel bores are chrome lined.
- The selector is positioned together with the safety on the upper tang.
- The shooter can select whether the upper or lower barrel fires first.
- The selected firing order is clearly visible on the selector.
- Automatic ejectors remove fired cases when the barrels are opened.
- The forend release arrangement is designed for straightforward disassembly.
The factory specification lists five choke constrictions, allowing the density and distribution of the shot pattern to be adjusted according to the discipline, target distance and ammunition.
Use only ammunition of the correct gauge and a cartridge length permitted for the 76 mm chamber. Before shooting, confirm that each choke is compatible, correctly fitted and tightened in accordance with the manual. When using steel shot, follow the markings on the individual choke and barrel assembly.
